common foot problems
- Hallux Valgus. The great toe is forced over to other toes at the metatarso-phalangeal joint.

- Hallux Rigidus. There is little or no movement of the great toe an metatarso-phalangeal joint.
- Hammer Toe. The first phalanx is extended and the second fixed down.

- Clawed Toe. As with hammer toe but the third phalanx is also fixed.

- Mallet Toe. Only second joint is affected and the distal phalanx flexed.

- Metatarsalgia. Pain under the metatarsal heads cased by dropping of the heads of the central metatarasals.
- Flat Foot (Pes Planus). The inner longitudinal arch flattens as the oscalcis and astragalus tip forward and the forepart turns out due to the stretching of the ligaments and muscles.
- Humped Foot (Pes Cavus). The longitudinal arches are high with the arch visible on the outside of the foot increasing the weight borne by the forepart.
- Valgus Ankle and Pronation. The back of the foot tilts inwards so that the weight is borne bin the flattened longitudinal archand the spreading forepart.
